Coffee can change the world. We're taking one step at a time to satisfy your taste buds and your conscience. This is how we’re doing our part.

We’re partnering with producers for profit and purpose, building a fairer and tastier coffee industry for everyone involved.

We do things unashamedly our way. Roasting coffee that tastes great and does good for all folks.

Great coffee starts at the source. We purchase coffee from smallholder farmers and commit to meaningful long-term partnerships. We pay fair prices, travel to origin when we can, offer support and resources, share information, and respect the unique processes of our producing partners. If we can’t import the coffee ourselves, we work with ethical importers who share our values.
We collaborate with our partners in the raw processing of our coffee. Sharing the inherent risk and pre-committing to lots allows us to remain on the pioneering edge of coffee production. From traditional methods like washed or natural to weird and wonderful fermentations. We experiment with different processing techniques to showcase the unique characteristics of the coffee, and the talents of our producers.
We’re lucky to have multiple Q Graders on our team of folkers who ensure the quality of our green beans. What a sommelier is to wine, a Q Grader is to coffee. They’ll assess the sensory characteristics of our cofffee before a shipment arrives. Exploring new flavours and expressions so we can share the most incredible coffees.
We roast in small batches on our boutique shop roasters, custom-made and handcrafted by our friends at Joper in Portugal. We’re sticklers for quality, roasting intentionally and always by hand. Nothing is automated, everything is tracked, tested, and analysed for improvement. We’re chasing perfection, showcasing the work of our partners, and tasting everything in the brewing form intended.
We brew our coffee intentionally and resource all of our partners to do the same. This means investing in our baristas and providing the best brewing equipment and training available. Our offerings range from tried and traditional to funky and fun, celebrating the characteristics of the coffee and ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
From origin to outcome, our process is designed to ensure the best representation of the coffee our team and partners have produced. No matter where you’re getting your coffee, you know that every hand that touched it has benefited and that every cup counts towards a fairer, tastier coffee industry for everyone involved.

We’re proudly for profit – for ourselves, our producers and our partners. That’s how you know we’re playing the long game.

If we can source a coffee from one of our producing partners, we will prioritise it over another coffee.

We source more than 90% of our coffee this way. If we can’t fill a requirement through our producing partners, we’ll purchase through an importer we know and trust. We’re eager to establish new and lasting relationships with producers and importers who align with our values and vision for a fairer and tastier coffee industry.

We understand that not every coffee is equal. The needs of a farming group in Uganda are vastly different to a large estate in Brazil. We take into consideration individual circumstances when choosing to work with producers. Every single coffee we purchase and roast is quality checked. We taste every single batch of roasted coffee to ensure you’re only ever drinking the best. Every roast is recorded and assessed. We value constant learning, improvement and accountability. If you aren’t enjoying our coffee, let us know.
